In August 2009, 3,000 ShaktiMat users gathered in one of the parks in Stockholm to occupy the acupressure mats in the form of the sun's rays. Most of the group sang mantras as they sat or lay on their mats, securing a place at Guinness World Records. The organizers said back then that only about 2,500 people sang, as the remaining 500 fell asleep - a sure sign of the relaxing effect of the mats.
